
How to Play HoopaZ
1. Players & Game Formats
Players take turns shooting.
Available game formats:
- 1 vs. 1
- 2 vs. 2
- 3 vs. 3
- 4 vs. 4
2. Game Modes
Depending on the selected mode, the game ends:
- without a time limit
- with a time limit
- when the target score is reached (21 or 31 points)
3. Fair Play & Fouls
Trash talk is allowed—as long as it doesn't become personal.
If a player or team is insulted, they may press the Foul Button.
This awards the fouled player or team 1 + 1 free throws:
- If the first free throw is successful, a second free throw is awarded.
- Each successful free throw is worth 1 point.
- Free throws may be taken directly above the playing field.
4. Valid Shots
Regular shots must be taken from in front of the playing field.
Shots taken from directly above the playing field are invalid.
Penalty:
- The opposing player or team receives free throws.
- Possession changes to the opposing player or team.
5. Distraction During a Shot
Intentionally distracting an opponent visually or verbally while they are shooting is considered a foul.
Penalty:
- The opposing player or team receives 1 + 1 free throws.
- This creates the opportunity for a 4-point play.
6. 3-Point Shot
A 3-Point Shot can be activated on any offensive possession.
When activated:
- The backboard lighting turns red.
- A distance laser projects the required shooting position.
- A successful 3-point shot is worth 3 points.
7. Tournament Mode
Special features:
- Teams switch sides at halftime.
- The Shot Clock is active.
- The shot must be taken before the Shot Clock expires.
- If time runs out, possession changes.
- The final five seconds are announced by an audible countdown.
- The shooting player starts the Shot Clock, allowing for short breaks between plays.
8. Timed Games
When playing with a time limit, the team with the highest score at the end of regulation wins.
9. Scoring

10. Training Mode
Training Mode can be played in Full Court or Half Court.
Take two shots from each of the following positions:
- Left wing
- Left center
- Center (behind the playing field)
- Right center
- Right wing
Additional rules:
- In 1-on-1 games, players alternate shots.
- In Half Court Mode, players must stand at least 1 meter (3.3 ft) from the edge of the playing field.
- Your total score reflects your training performance.
- High scores, average scores, and additional statistics help you track your progress and compare your performance with other players.
